Fine Rituals, Start to Finish: How a Luxury Brand Enters Israel

This page is written for one reader: the owner or export lead of an international beauty or wellness brand who is looking at Israel and trying to work out what entry actually involves. Not the pitch version. The sequence, the work, and the people who do it.

Fine Rituals is a boutique importer based in Netanya, Israel. We bring the world's most exclusive luxury beauty and wellness brands into the market and we own the entire entry, from regulatory approval through to retail placement. More than twenty international brands have come in this way. Everything below describes how.

The decision you are really making

Most brands considering Israel have been offered two options, and both of them cost something. The first is to stay out, because the market looks too small to justify the paperwork, the branch, or the CFO conversation. The second is to enter through a volume distributor, which means the brand arrives, sells, and flattens into another SKU on a shelf next to things it has nothing in common with.

For a founder whose brand is their life's work, both outcomes are a loss. The regulatory side alone, Ministry of Health registration, toxicological review, customs, has been enough to stop most brands at the border before the commercial question was ever asked.

Fine Rituals exists as a third option. One company holds the whole entry, so the brand crosses into Israel with its prestige intact and the owner does not have to assemble a vendor list to get there.

Stage one: regulatory and registration

Nothing reaches a shelf in Israel without clearing the Ministry of Health. We handle that registration in house, along with the toxicological review that sits behind it. We do not pass this to an outside consultant and then relay the answers back to you.

That distinction matters more than it sounds. When the science is owned internally, questions about a formulation get answered by someone who already knows the file, rather than passed down a chain and returned days later in a form nobody can act on. It also means we can tell you early and honestly what a product will need, instead of discovering it halfway through.

For the export lead who has to justify every line to a finance team, this is the stage that usually breaks a budget somewhere else. Here it is part of the same engagement.

Stage two: logistics, shipping and customs

Once a product is cleared, it has to arrive, clear customs, be stored correctly, and move through a local supply chain without incident. Fine Rituals manages international shipping, customs, warehousing and local distribution end to end.

There is no handover point in the middle where responsibility becomes unclear. A single company carries the goods from origin to the point of sale. If something needs resolving at the port, it is ours to resolve.

Stage three: placement

This is the part that decides what the brand is understood to be in Israel. We place through curated, scarcity led distribution: boutiques, premium clinics and luxury spas. We deliberately bypass mass retail.

Scarcity here is a choice, not a supply problem. A luxury brand is read partly through the company it keeps and the room it sits in. Put it in a setting built around fast turnover and the product does not change, but what a customer believes about it does, and that belief is very hard to take back. So we open fewer doors, and we are particular about which ones.

The principle underneath all three stages is the same one we hold to in every conversation: protect the brand first, chase volume never.

Who you will be working with

Fine Rituals is a boutique importer, and the entry is led by its two founders.

Dana Zilberstein, Co-Founder and CEO

Dana owns partnership strategy and market entry across Israel, Asia and the Middle East, and she owns the full path a brand travels, from regulatory approval to shelf. Her work sits at the point where regulation meets prestige. She has brought more than twenty international brands into the Israeli market. You can read more about her background on her founder page.

Ofri Shaysh, Co-Founder

Ofri builds the market access side of the business, opening routes for premium brands across Israel, Asia and the Middle East and turning a difficult market into a clean, managed entry. His focus is the commercial path a prestige brand needs in a new region, and he understands what it takes to carry a luxury brand across borders without flattening it. His background is set out on his founder page.

What stays yours

We do not rewrite a brand to suit a local shelf. The aesthetic, the positioning and the standards are the brand owner's, and our job is to carry them through a regulatory and logistics process that would otherwise erode them. Cultural and aesthetic alignment is one of the things we take most seriously, and it is the one thing no competitor can copy out of a handbook.

What we will not do

  • We will not place a brand into mass retail or drugstore channels.
  • We will not pursue volume at the cost of how the brand is perceived.
  • We will not outsource the regulatory science and hope the answers hold.
  • We will not flatten a brand into another SKU on a shelf.

Israel first, then the region

Israel is where Fine Rituals was built and where the method was proven. The direction from here is the same entry, with prestige intact, extended across Asia and the Middle East. For a brand owner, that means the door you open in Israel is not a one market door.

Starting a conversation

If you are considering Israel, the next step is a conversation about your brand, its formulation, and where it sits in other markets. From there we can set out what Ministry of Health registration will involve and how we would place the brand here.
